why creative commons
We are never going to solve the housing crisis if everyone has to replicate the same work, over and over again. Let's see what happens if we all share our information freely, acknowledging the work that has gone on before, but allowing people to start from where we left off.
Community-Led Housing projects and Citizen Developers rarely have more than one project worth of data. Most of the time people are starting from scratch to try to get their great ideas off the ground. But collectively, the community-led housing sector holds a lot of knowledge, tools, resources and experience. Our goal is to try to make building CLH projects and being a Citizen Developer easy for the next group going through this process. Thus, we license everything we do via the Creative Commons.
